[Project Background] The ESPC Petrochemical Company under the Ruwais Industrial Center of ADNOC in the UAE is planning to build a methanol production facility with an annual output of 600,000 tons. This project aims to promote the deep processing and utilization of local natural gas resources and enhance the added value of downstream chemical products.

[Role of Chinese Enterprises] Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (ECEC) and the Middle East Company of China National Chemical Engineering Group formed a consortium and successfully won the EPCC general contracting contract in September 2020, with a contract value of $394 million.

[Scope of Services] L4 EPCC general contracting (including commissioning and debugging), covering the full process of engineering design, equipment procurement, construction, and commissioning for the 600,000 tons/year methanol facility.

[Significance] This marks a significant milestone for Donghua Technology's entry into the ADNOC system in the UAE, laying a solid foundation for future expansion in the Middle East market.
