Project Background The Kazakhstan Petrochemical Integration (IPCI) project is the largest chemical project in Kazakhstan's history and the first polyolefins project. It is owned by Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries (KPI) and supported by the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.

Role of Chinese Enterprises China National Chemical Engineering Corporation undertakes the EPC general contracting, with five of its subsidiaries including Tianchen Engineering participating in the construction. Tianchen Engineering is responsible for core units including the polypropylene plant, polymer processing, and utility facilities.

Project Achievements The completion and commissioning ceremony was held on November 8, 2022, attended by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan. The owner KPI presented letters of thanks and certificates to all participating parties.
