View OriginalFacing the compliance pressure on ocean‑going vessels under IMO 2023 short‑term emission reduction measures (EEXI/CII) and the 2050 net‑zero target, we provide a lightweight, skidded ship‑borne carbon capture (On‑board Carbon Capture System, OCCS) turnkey technology.
The technical core is a low‑energy chemical absorption process customized for diesel engine/dual‑fuel engine exhaust scenarios, focusing on solving practical issues such as limited offshore space, vessel roll motions, limited waste‑heat temperature, and long supply cycles. The system uses compact towers combined with high‑efficiency structured packing, and through process‑energy coupling optimization keeps regeneration heat consumption comparable to on‑shore units; CO₂‑rich liquid can be off‑loaded at port or liquefied and stored on‑board in skidded tank farms.
The technology package includes: process package design, key equipment structures and fastening schemes, anti‑roll control strategies, thermal integration with the main engine/exhaust economizer, classification society (CCS/DNV/ABS/LR/BV) compliance documentation, and shore‑side supply and off‑load interface design. Configurations can be tailored for vessels ranging from 1,000–10,000 dwt up to VLCC, delivering differentiated solutions with 10%–80% emission‑reduction rates.
Applicable customers include ship owners, ship design institutes, shipyards, and green port operators. Cooperation models cover technology licensing, joint engineering packaging with shipyards, skidded system supply plus on‑shore technical support. This technology leverages on‑shore CCUS engineering experience to extend into maritime scenarios and is one of the few domestically available OCCS solutions backed by industrial‑grade CCUS project performance.
